Understanding the manifest
Each record lists its stable ID, record URL, supplied-source SHA-256, and the SHA-256 of its public asset and preview. A public image can have a different hash because of redaction, resizing, encoding, or its added credit strip. Hashes identify exact files; they are not an independent timestamp or authentication certificate.
Future editions should retain this manifest and add a separate dated entry. For attribution and permission inquiries, see Attribution and reuse or contact the archive.
