Report on the recent battles fought by the forces of the martyr Ahmed Al-Abdo
In coordination between the Badia Sector and the Mountain Sector in Eastern Qalamoun, and after
monitoring and observing the movements of ISIS in the Syrian Badia, the Martyr Ahmed Al-Abdo Forces
launched several surprise attacks on important and sensitive sites of the terrorist ISIS organization.
At exactly 5:30 AM on Monday, 7/11/2016, our forces began the attack from the western sectors
(Eastern Qalamoun) and the eastern sectors (Badiya) on several axes: Sis, Tal Makhoul, Risha Dam, and
Al-Qatari Farm. During these clashes, violent clashes took place between our elements and the elements
of the terrorist organization. Our forces were able to advance and inflict heavy losses on ISIS in terms of
equipment and lives. More than 10 terrorists from the organization were killed, including two emirs, one
of whom was an Iraqi immigrant and the other was Syrian. A tank was destroyed in Sis, a number of
vehicles were destroyed and burned, and medium and individual weapons were seized. We obtained
several documents and papers belonging to ISIS elements. The clashes continued until 5:00 PM, and our
units are still tracking the remnants of the organization’s elements, setting up ambushes, and tightening
surveillance, fearing any possible reaction that ISIS might carry out.
